Jimmy Fallon is “So Baby” on Watch What Happens Live

Sunday, November 11th, 2012

About a week ago, Donnie Emerson was watching the tube and discovered this little piece of broadcast gold. Jimmy Fallon was a guest on Watch What Happens Live, a late-night talk show on Bravo. Jimmy is asked “What’s that one song you just love to jam out to,” and he answers “Baby” by Donnie & Joe!

Jimmy tells the TV audience a little bit about Donnie & Joe and they discuss the mysterious lyric “You’re so baby.” We caught this on Jimmy’s twitter about a week back too:

The Black Angels on Letterman (9/8/10)

Thursday, September 9th, 2010

The Black Angels made their network television debut last night on the Late Show with David Letterman, performing “Telephone” off their new album, Phosphene Dream (out next Tuesday, 9/14). They didn’t phone it in either. Congratulations to one of our favorite Austin bands!

If you haven’t stocked up on the Black Angels back catalog, Light in the Attic can help you out right HERE.

THE BLACK ANGELS ON FOX’S FRINGE TONIGHT!

Tuesday, September 16th, 2008

Hopefully at least a few of you genre-loving nerd types tuned in to Fox’s Fringe last week, as it was a high-quality, well directed couple of mind-bending hours that focused on mysteries, glass-skinned men, pants-wetting elders and Pacey from Dawson’s Creek.  Seriously, we were pretty riveted.

And this week, oh this week is sure to be even more riveting.  Not only does the episode focus on a woman who can pump out babies in mere hours, but it also features The Black Angels’ “Young Men Dead” in the second hour, a classic song if we’ve ever heard one.  So seriously, tune in tonight to FOX to catch one of the better new shows this year as well as The Black Angels’ “Young Men Dead”.

Tonight, FOX, 9:00 PM.

TV TONIGHT: THE FREE DESIGN ON WEEDS SEASON FINALE!

Monday, September 15th, 2008

We told you on Friday, but we’re telling your weed-addled brains again:

TONIGHT, MONDAY SEPTEMBER 15th @ 10:00 PM MARY LOUISE PARKER AND THE CAST OF WEEDS WILL BID ADIEU TO THE FOURTH SEASON OF THIS ACCLAIMED SHOW …

WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM THE FREE DESIGN.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah. Supposedly this final episode is a real five-star banger in terms of plot development and pure teevee goodness.  And, seriously, The Free Design’s “Love You” in its entirety snuggled some place in this knuckle-whitening half-hour?  Can life be any better?

LIKE WEEDS? LIKE THE FREE DESIGN? TUNE IN ON MONDAY NIGHT THEN…

Friday, September 12th, 2008

So, you’re a huge fan of Showtime’s weed-dealing-in-suburbia half-hour Weeds.  You’ve tuned in each week for the last, almost, four years and you’ve already organized your friend Bob to play Quentin and your sister Hazel Elizabeth to play that bit-part cameo Zooey Deschanal had at the end of season two for your season-ending Weeds Finale party this Monday.  That’s great, we here at Light In The Attic abso-fucking-lutely applaud you.

So, when you’re not watching Showtime’s weed-dealing-in-suburbia half-hour Weeds, you can usually be found in your newly named FreeDesign-onia crib, blasting the 20 song mega-mix of Free Design tracks you spent all last weekend cobbling together.  You’re a Free Design free-k and proud of it.

Then this Monday, you loyal fan you, is going to be a big day for you, as the fourth season of Weeds comes to an end, and what song will blast across the supposedly uber-intense credits?  The Free Design’s “Love You” of course, a supposedly fitting tribute to what occurs in these final moments. You, and the rest of the Weeds-lovin’ world should be very excited.

What You Should Be Watching

Friday, October 19th, 2007

TV/Film Guru Sandy is making an indelible mark on the screen media culture right now, plastering the sweet sweet sounds of Light In The Attic artists all over the fucking boob tube. Week after week TV/Film Guru Sandy is just smothering the television schedule with the best and the brightest of our wee little label. It’s an impressive feat, and we’re always here to expose you, our loyal readers to the prime time television you should be tuning your dial to.

Thus, in the coming weeks, for the love of TV/Film Guru Sandy and god above, please view these television programs:

Wednesday, October 30th (a Halloween episode)
The Black Angels “Young Men Dead” on Bones on FOX

A Halloween pumpkin patch maze becomes a lot scarier when the mummified remains of a young girl are found in it. Booth and Brennan go to investigate, and are shocked to find that the victim has been dead for over a year. To make the situation even creepier, a second body is found at a Halloween amusement park funhouse, again mummified, but this time dead for approximately two years. Booth and Brennan get wind of a third missing girl and link her to the person who killed the other two girls. They must now race to find the killer before he or she strikes again this Halloween.

(ed. For those who care, this episode features a guest spot by a fellow uniquely named Rider Strong. Some of you may know him as Cory’s troublesome neighbor Shawn on the early 90s sitcom Boy Meets World. Others might recognize him as Paul from Eli Roth’s mediocre horror debut Cabin Fever. )

The Television Invasion Continues!

Monday, October 15th, 2007

Our deathgrip on the old boob tube is slowly growing tighter as more and more of our artist’s music creeps on to network and cable programming. One of these days you’ll flip on the set and it’ll be Light In The Attic TV 24 hours a day on every channel. And oh what a glorious day it shall be.

For now though you can check out either of these two shows:

Monday, October 15, 8pm et/pt (ed. that’s tonight ladies and gentlemen)

The Blakes‘ “Commit” on How I Met Your Mother on CBS
“Little Boys”

When “kid-unfriendly” Robin surprisingly forms a bond with the young son of
the guy she is dating, she decides it is too serious and must figure out a
way to let the little guy down.

Light In The Attic Takes Television

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

There are many varied arms of the unwieldy beast that is the music industry – bands, ringtones, albums, touring, publicity, internet content, the hellish world that is Myspace, and of course, the idiot box itself: television. Our TV/Film Guru Sandy works his purdy lil’ ass off morning and night getting the great music this label puts out in to television shows, movies, and just about anything else defined as screen media. We’re taking the boobtube by storm in the coming weeks and we want you to know about it, so get out the old TIVO remote, and take this shit down!

From Sandy, good old Sandy, who’s even been nice enough to link to a few of the places where you can check these out for free:

We’re happy to announce a couple placements:

- Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators “If This Ain’t Love” aired on
a recent episode of ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters”, and should be
available to watch online @ abc.com

- Betty Davis “Walkin’ Down The Road” appeared on episode 3 of the
Showtime original series Californication.

Not bad eh?
