LIGHT IN THE ATTIC LOS ANGELES NEEDS SUMMER INTERNS!

Home from college this Summer with nothing to do? Well, LITA is currently offering a 3 month Summer internship at our Los Angeles office. We’re looking for applicants who are seriously interested in learning about the top to bottom process of releasing records. Check out the details below and get in touch.

INTERNSHIP AVAILABILITY:

1 unpaid position, three months duration beginning of June, 2013 (school credit is available)

HOURS:

16-18 hours per week, preferably broken up between two or three days– however a more flexible schedule can be arranged.

(The hours would need to fall between 9am and 5pm, Monday thru Friday).

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Team player, yet self motivated, with a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail*** (very important)
  • Must have laptop and own transportation
  • Computer skills – Mac OSX, Excel/Word/Access, database/file management experience a big plus. Also, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator skills would be a bonus.
  • Web skills – Facebook, Twitter, Google research, blogging and basic HTML a big plus
  • 18 years of age or older

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Web-based research
  • Assist with Facebook and Twitter maintenance and operation
  • General office/administrative duties Printing/scanning documents
  • Assist in management of database
  • General packing and shipping
  • General office work
  • Assist with the “What’s Inside” videos
  • Errands
  • Flyering/postering
  • Archiving

Summer Fun Deux! LITA Seattle Needs Interns!

Things are getting mighty busy ’round these parts, and we sure could use some ready-willing-and-able types. So please get in touch if you’d like to take part in one of our Seattle Summer 2011 internships! Info below:

Light In The Attic is looking for a highly-motivated, record-lovin’ intern to work in our Seattle office. Come learn the ins-and-outs of the record business, and have fun while working in an energetic and rewarding environment.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
-Organization, close attention to detail
-Motivated, able to take on heavy tasks with a good attitude
-Computer and web skills, knowledge of Microsoft programs and website management are a plus
-Please have own transportation

RESPONSIBILITES:
-Helping to pull orders
-Stocking and organizing shelves
-Learning the LITA catalog, and knowing basic information about titles
-General shipping and receiving
-Managing promotional mailings, including postage, putting titles to promo, etc.
-Assist with management of website and online inventory
-Weekly stock count of warehouse

12-16 hours per week, preferably broken up as two 6-8 hour shifts – however a more flexible schedule can be arranged.

(The hours would need to fall between 9am and 5pm, Monday thru Friday).

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have laptop and own transportation
