Seattle friends, please come out and help celebrate the memory of Andy Kotowicz. Andy was the marketing guru at Sub Pop, a dear friend of Light In The Attic‘s, a music lover, and a loving father and husband. He passed away on October 24th due to injuries sustained in a car accident. This benefit–for the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation–put together by Sub Pop will take place on December 4th at The Showbox (Market) and will feature bands that Andy was the A&R representative for. The bill includes performances by:
A-Frames/AFCGT, Fruit Bats, Mudhoney, Michael Yonkers, Pissed Jeans, Shabazz Palaces, Vetiver, and Wolf Eyes.
Money raised for the show will go to the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation which will help to support Andy’s wife, Jocelyn and his young daughter, Anna. Tickets went on sale on Friday, November 12th, so get them now ($20, available through Ticketmaster) before the show sells out. It is an all ages event and doors are at 7PM.
If you are unable to attend, you may show your support via the Andy Kotowicz Family Foundation page on the Sub Pop website and CharityBuzz.com, where there is an autographed Fender Telecaster donated by Pearl Jam and Ten Club.
