After more than two years of research, road trips, phone calls, emails, faxes, private detectives, and several eerie coincedences, we give you Jim Sullivan‘s lost psych-folk-rock masterpiece, U.F.O.
This marks the first time that U.F.O. has ever been released on CD/Digital and the first time it has been reissued on vinyl. And speaking of the vinyl, it’s a real cherry–180 gram (of course!) and a Deluxe Gatefold sleeve (vinyl will be available in December). Also, both the Vinyl and the CD come with a 48 page booklet with unseen photos, lyrics, and liner notes by Andria Lisle (Wax Poetics, MOJO, contributor and author of Waking Up in Memphis).

Got the CD the other day. Too bad you couldn’t get the harshness out of the vocals on Jerome, but thanks so much for mastering this at a decent volume level. It was so refreshing to be able to utilize my volume knob. Love the music. Plain As Your Eyes Can See is my new jam!
I had this album when I was a teenager in the 1970′s, loved it. It was obsure, none of my friends had ever heard of it. I bought it at the base exchange on MacDill AFB in Tampa Florida. I lost it in one of the hurricanes on the Gulf Coast in the late 70′s. Glad to see it is back out, and that Coast to Coast AM is doing a show on the disappearance of Jim Sullivan. Also another band from the 70′s that has aUFO connection is KLATU. Many have rumored that the three albums that the band put out were actually the Beatles getting back togather unknown to the public and putting out msuic that was closer to their own beliefs in UFO’s.
On a regular basis back in 1970 I would drive down to Malibu to listen to Jim Sullivan live at the Raft. I had a copy of his album that i kept long after the record player got tossed. So happy to be able to get a copy of the new CD. Brings back great memories. Jim was smooth, Jim was cool, Jim had talent.
