Light In The Attic is in need of some interns!

Here’s why:

Our label’s recent growth has not only increased LITA’s profile but also our need for motivated, smart, music savvy interns. Therefore, we are seeking out those individuals interested in learning about all aspects of the record industry – Retail, A&E, Publicity, Film & TV Licensing – but willing to work on less glamorous tasks, such as promotional mailings, store orders, and web-research.
Currently we are in need of help in both the Retail/Distribution and Publicity/Press departments, so please consider and respond to the positions listed below.

INTERNSHIP AVAILABILITY:
Press: 2 to 3 unpaid positions (school credit is available)
Retail: 2 to 3 unpaid positions (school credit is available)

HOURS:
At least 12-16 hours per week, preferably broken up as two 6-8 hour shifts – however a more flexible schedule can be arranged.
(The hours would need to fall between 9am and 5pm).

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Team player, yet self motivated
Strong ability to think outside the box
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail*** (very important)
Computer skills – Excel/Word/Access plus Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Press: Web-based research; Assist with mailings, venue follow ups, and press requests; Contribute in marketing and promo concepts; General office/administrative duties

Retail: Process phone, fax and web site orders; Assist in maintaining warehouse inventory control, report shortages and/or damages; General packing and shipping;
Promo Mail outs; General office work
