For this week’s Free Basin’ Fridays giveaway, we’re giving you a sneak peek at a release we’re very, very excited about. To coincide with the theatrical release next week of the thrill-a-minute documentary Searching For Sugar Man by Malik Bendjelloul about Detroit singer-songwriter Rodriguez, we’ve teamed up with Sony Legacy to release the film’s soundtrack on CD and 2xLP. Searching For Sugar Man – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (LITA 089) is now available on CD and for pre-order on 2xLP (out Tuesday, September 25), but here is your chance to score a free copy of the CD.
For your chance to win, send Rodriguez some love in a comment below. Don’t forget to include your name and email address in the email field so we can contact the winner. Winner announced next Friday, July 27 at 12pm PST. I just found out about your music this year and I love it. Sorry I missed you in Detroit! Maybe another time….
Always a fan of Light In The Attic. Rodriguez must be the MAN. Hope to catch this Doc. and some of his music soon!
I have love for Rodriguez!
Thanks to LITA for bringing back
all those colours to my dreams.
Love & groovy vibes for light in the attic & rodriguez.
Damn, this is such a great documentary. The music ain’t half bad, either.
Rodriguez —- thank you for being you and always being just that. Your music moves me like no other tunes on Earth and I am better off as a result on a daily, cumulative basis of tunes and good times.
Can’t wait to see the movie. Thanks for the music. Everyone should listen to it.
i work in a record store, and with my colleagues we were awestruck listening to COLD FACT!!
is simply a record that we recommend to everyone … and everyone likes it! your work is out of any time
GRAZIE Mr. Rodriguez and Light in the Attic Recs.
Rodriguez is THE man – and that’s a concrete cold fact!
I “found” Rodriguez in South Africa in 1981, and have never lost sight of him. When I came back to Australia, I couldn’t tell enough people about the man. Now I still have records, cant wait for the movie, and put my daughter to sleep with Cold Fact.
I want to see him in Australia, come to Australia, I’ll put you up!
Cheers
