Jim Sullivan’s “U.F.O.” featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered”

Today was a very exciting day! National Public Radio’s All Things Considered program featured a 10 minute spot on Jim Sullivan’s story and his music, focusing on our new reissue of his 1969 lost masterpiece, U.F.O.! Light In The Attic’s Matt Sullivan was interviewed for the segment and he shared his story of discovering Jim and his music. It’s so great that some 40+ years after its creation, Jim’s music is finally making its way out to the world (in a big way)!

Mowest anthology featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered”

This is from last month, but we just realized we never put this awesome feature up on the blog. So blog, consider yourself complete…for now. Aaaanyway, the always excellent Oliver Wang (who wrote the notes for our Betty Davis reissues and who also writes the essential Soul-Sides site) reviewed Our Lives Are Shaped By What We Love on NPR’s All Thing Considered.

Mercury Rev on NPR’s 100 Essential Noise Pop Songs List

Very exciting to see Mercury Rev make it on NPR’s “100 Essential Noise Pop Songs” list, and in such good company (Big Star, Black Tambourine, Nirvana, Replacements, Velvet Underground, etc.)!
