Betty Davis hits The New Yorker, Wax Poetics + SF Chronicle. Join Our Street Team!

It’s Betty Davis mayhem over here! Pick up the latest edition of The New Yorker for a great review of the Betty Davis reissues or click here to read. Also, we’re ecstatic to announce that Betty has graced the cover of Wax Poetics with a brilliant article written by John Ballon, as well as an enormous spread in The San Francisco Chronicle – written by the legendary Jeff Chang. Read it here. Thanks so much everyone!

On another tip, Light In The Attic is in the beginning stages of creating a street team to help spread the word about our current and upcoming tours and releases. No experience is required, but always welcome! Tasks will include putting up posters around your city, handing out fliers at related shows, calling radio stations requesting songs to be played, banners to display on personal web sites, and many more!

And don’t worry, you will also get things back in return. Incentives are still being decided upon, but trust me, the street teamers that rock the hardest will receive some very nice swag for their efforts.

If you are interested, email with the following:

  • Name
  • City/State
  • How you heard about Light In The Attic
  • Top 3 favorite musical acts
  • Any previous street team experience (what bands, labels, etc.)

Also, please note whether you would only like to be contacted for certain bands, or if you would like to help out the entire LITA roster.

Thanks for your time, and I hope to hear back soon!
