Big Summer Plans for The Black Angels

The Black Angels Hit the Road, Fly to Seattle for Its Biggest Summer Bash, and Land in Austin City Limits for the Fall! Austin, Texas psyche-rock band The Black Angels, who are touring like a sleek pack of slick-fur road dogs for their war-damaged, beautiful yet beastly Passover debut album, have just been added to the line-ups for both the Seattle Capitol Hill Block Party and the Austin City Limits Festival!

As reported by Seattle’s swanky alt-weekly The Stranger, the annual Capitol Hill Block Party is scheduled for July 28-29 and features frontrunners Band of Horses, Silversun Pickups, as well as “the rapidly ascending, Austin-based Black Angels.”

The Black Angels will also be playing the humungous Austin City Limits Music Festival. The Dallas Observer posted the initial lineup for the for the 2006 festival, taking place between September 15-17 at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, featuring The Flaming Lips, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Raconteurs, and many others.
