Last week in anticipation of our latest release–Overton Berry Ensemble T.O.B.E. / At Seattle’s Doubletree Inn–we thought it would be great to sit down with the man himself, Overton Berry, and get the back story on these two legendary Seattle soul/jazz/funk albums. And who would we ask to be the interviewer but T.O.B.E. / At Seattle’s Doubletree Inn liner notes writer Kurt B. Reighley.
Presented in two parts, this week Kurt and Overton discuss the landmark 1972 studio album T.O.B.E.. The 40 minute interview goes in-depth into the making of the album and features cuts from the album. Make sure to check back next week for part two! Special thanks go out to producer/engineer extrodinaire Steve Fisk (Nirvana, Mudhoney, Low) for taking the time to tape the interviews and snap some photos!
