GOT KIDS? LIKE ZINES? DAVID LASKY HAS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU …

David Lasky, a talented artist who put together the absolutely fantastic Serge comic in our highly regarded Record Day Zine, is looking to help the children … help the children make zines.  He’ll be organizing and leading a class at the Richard Hugo House in Seattle, WA (where our own Not-An-Intern Noah, once portrayed a zombie ravaged teenager for two glorious hours).  He’ll be guiding middle schoolers in well, I’ll let the Richard Hugo House explain:

Middle School Zine-ster Double Feature: Words & Pictures 5-Week Workshop
Anyone reading graphic novels, comics, magazine ads or surfing the Internet can attest that words and pictures make for a powerful combination.  Put their awesome combined forces to work for you as we create stories, collage, comics, poems, rants, recipes, you-name-it in this five week workshop, with the ultimate goal of creating one of the world’s greatest communication tools: Your Own Zine.  *This class is for middle school students only.

Meets: Saturdays, May 2 – 30, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
