RANDOM BITS: 4.18.2008

We’re keeping it weekly. No matter what blood, sweat and tears we have to shed, you will receive a healthy dosage of Random Bits smeared in your face. And you will like it.

Happy eatin’!

This one is straight from the desk of shadowy Light In The Attic organizer Matt Sullivan. Portishead, another shadowy group, premiering seven tracks off the new album Third. This is amazing stuff, P-head’s first release in like eight years. Be excited.

Humorously enough, it’s Portishead literally playing in a town called Portishead.  Hilarious.  Check out next month when The Saturday Knights play in The Saturday Knights, Wisconsin.  It’ll be amazing.

Seriously.  This town is amazing.  Absolutely amazing.  If it’s not some incredible national touring act dropping by at one of our amazing smallish venues, it’s one of the great great local bands consistently popping up rocking at The Comet or someone’s backyard, or anything in between – Seattle’s got it.

This weekend it’s, at least for the lucky ones, it’s Fleet Foxes and Blitzen Trapper at Neumo’s (SOLD OUT, suckers) tonight and Handsome Furs and The Teenagers at Neumo’s tomorrow.  Our lower regions are tingling just thinking about it.

See you there!
