If the world stopped this very moment and all we had to remember of Sixto Rodriguez was the amazing press/brilliant live shows/sterling radio interviews we’ve experienced up to now, we’d be more than happy. But, luckily for us this world is still spinning along (at least until those pesky polar ice caps melt) and Rodriguez is still bullying his way in to the public conscious.
What now you may ask?
For the first time ever Sixto Diaz Rodriguez will be playing WEST of DETROIT, as he’ll jump across the continent to play two shows in California. First he’ll dive in to the seedy sunlight of Los Angeles to perform an intimate show at The Echo on the 21st of November. From there he’ll shoot on up to Bay Area to perform (with a cast of great bands including The Entrance Band, Sleepy Sun, and the Matt Baldwin Electric Band) at The Great American Music Hall on the 23rd.
Again, this is THE FIRST PERFORMANCE BY RODRIGUEZ WEST OF DETROIT EVER!
The good folk at San Francisco-based promotion company Folk Yeah! are putting on the show and you can get all the info you want, and more, RIGHT HERE.
