Our fucking fantastic reissue of Serge Gainsbourg’s classic, Histoire de Melody Nelson explodes on to shelves tomorrow, and we don’t like to pass by an amazing chance to celebrate.  Thus, tonight, for you Seattle folk only, we’re throwing a listening party.  There’s going to be celebrity DJs (Hunter Lea of MONO in VCF, a panda bear, and three small robots that turn in to a big robot) and drinks and food, and from everything we hear Hannah Levin’s (of The Seattle Weekly) new alcoholic venture is quite the swank little place.

We’d love, LOVE to see any and all of you beautiful people out and about.  If you don’t come, don’t you worry, you’re libido will just be cursed by Serge Gainsbourg for the rest of your poorly satisfied life.

Here’s the deets:

Tonight, Monday, April 23rd – in celebration of our reissue’s release date tomorrow – Light In The Attic will be having a HISTOIRE DE MELODY NELSON listening party at Hannah Levin’s swank new spot GAINSBOURG from 9pm till close.

It’s gonna be a free event to all – that’s right, FREE – with giveaways throughout the evening and 60′s classics by Serge and other French pop Superheros spun by both Hunter Lea (of Mono in VCF fame) and Steve Quenel (local visual artist/frequent collaborator with Ben Chasny of Six Organs of Admittance).

Gainsbourg is located at: 8550 Greenwood Ave, Seattle

Be there or be spited.
