STOCKIST SPOTLIGHT! Mosta Records LP. sits in the heart of Singapore City Centre. We asked Azri, the owner, a few questions about his shop:

Where is your shop located?
Mosta Records LP is situated at 3 Coleman Street #02-21 Peninsula Shopping Centre. Mosta Records LP resides in a building rich with history that caters to the musically inclined right in the heart of the Singapore City Centre.
How long has your shop been open?
Mosta Records LP has been operating since 17 December 2016.

What genres/types of record does your shop focus on?
As a movie buff, I’ve always been a fan of film scores. Mosta Records LP reflects that- we carry a wide selection of Original Movie Scores and Soundtracks with various artists. Mosta Records LP offers a strong selection of an assortment of genres as diverse as world music, jazz, electronica, reggae, dub and ska. We also cater to  mainstream music . As the authorised dealer of labels such as Third Man Records, Waxwork Records, Mondo/Death Waltz Records, Daptone Records and Fat Possum Records- we aspire to introduce new genres and artists to our customers through these independent labels. We recently made a deal with  FFWD, another independent record label from Bandung, Indonesia. Their roster of bands offer genres such as progressive rock, alternative rock and jazz. Through this we want to encourage our customers to explore other labels that exists in Southeast Asia.

Are there locals or tourists who tend to shop at your shop?
Our customer base consists of Singaporeans from all walks of life. We have served customers not only locally, but from different countries all over the world.

Do you ever have any in store performances?
We are in the final stages of preparation to host artists to perform in our store. These performances will be available at our official YouTube channel soon. So stayed tuned!

What are some of your favorite labels?
My favourite labels are Third Man Records, Light In The Attic Records and Waxwork Records.

What are some of your favorite labels LITA distributes?
Medical Records, Modern Classics Recordings, Silva Screen, One Way Static, Walhalla Records , Mississippi Records and Cadabra Records.

What was the last record you purchased for your own collection?
Actually I got 3, Dhafer Youseff, Prophets of Rage and the Taxi Driver Soundtrack.
