Back in the day before these new fangled teevees and computer monitors, there was a little thing called radio. And every Saturday night, the family would gather ’round this radio to listen to the latest bit, of well, whatever. Sportin’ events, horse-racing, a fireside chat from a reigning political despot – things of that nature.
The fine Canadians over at CBC have put together an audio documentary for CBC Radio about the Summer Records Anthology we put out last year. It’s fantastic piece that features interviews with owner/producer/engineer Jerry Brown, Noel Ellis, Adrian Miller (from Earth, Roots and Water), Willie Williams, and the one, the only Kevin “Sipreano” Howes. It’s a beautiful 53-minute piece produced by Ian Cauthery and hosted by Shaun Dhani, and you should certainly pull some chairs around your 40-inch plasma screened computer and give her a listen.
