The Black Angels and Noel Ellis In Town

On Monday, June 19, 2006, The Black Angels swaggered into Sea-town like your best friend at your 21st birthday party. They headlined the KEXP pledge drive concert with Jose Gonzalez at the plush and resplendent Triple Door ($500 a ticket!). The packed audience loved a bit of dark moonshine in the middle of a sunny summer afternoon. Thanks so much KEXP!

That same night The Black Angels gave a virile, sweaty, heart-stomping sold-out performance at Chop Suey, priming old and new fans for their return on July 29 for the Capitol Hill Block Party!

Meanwhile, Jamaican-Toronto legend Noel Ellis has arrived from London, and is confirmed for the Saturday, July 15th “Jamaica to Toronto” extravaganza to be held at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto. Noel is looking dapper in some new London fashions, and should be cooking up some delicious soul-dub for the adoring 3,000 expected to be there.
