It’s that time of year again, the evergreens bedecked with fishing wire and stale popcorn, the neighborhood dads drunk and red-nosed in their bedraggled Santa Clause outfits, the shortest day rearing its shadowed head. Yup yup, regardless of what you’re celebrating, it’s the holiday season.
And oh what a non-denominational gift we have for you.
You know our amazing Wheedle’s Groove series? The fantastic compilation of 60s and 70s Seattle funk and soul that is Wheedle’s Groove: Seattle’s Finest in Funk & Soul, 1965-1975, as well as the sophomore release Kearney Barton featuring these same artists recording some thirty years later? Yeah that one, well, this good friends, was just the tip of the Emerald City’s funk/soul iceberg. Our man DJ Supreme has been shoveling the crates for ages now, unearthing some multi-faceted wonders rarely seen or owned.
Thus we, with the help of the good folk over at Dublab, wrangled this super DJ in to putting together a Seattle Mega-Mix, a ridiculous selection of Seattle funk/soul featuring artists like Overton Berry, Seattle Pure Dynamite, Little Curtis and Dart and so many more. It’s brilliant and brilliantly compliments the records we’ve previously released.
If we could we’d throw a bow on it, but it’ll sound great regardless.

And, Happy Hoiidays everyone. Let the egg nog run free.
