Not-An-Intern Noah has been in some sort of music whirlpool these last four months. We don’t know if its the Bay Area air, or some sort of inter-dimensional music vortex but the man is just pounding his way through albums, critiquing all the way.
So what exactly is Not-An-Intern Noah listening to these days?
Well here’s at least one thing:
There’s this crazy million-volume set of psych-rock that I’ve been digging in to lately called Love, Peace, and Poetry. Each of its various parts focuses on a different country and the psych-rock found there. Well, lo and behold the first volume focuses on the good old US of A and what did I stumble upon within the hallowed walls of this musical castle? A little band called Lazy Smoke and their sort of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young meet acid in the back woods of Virginia stylings. I was immediately taken and sought out this, this gem of an album.
I highly recommend this stuff.
